Teeth that look natural

Aesthetic dentistry is part of the holistic concept of our dental practice at Frankfurter Bogen. It offers a broad range of services for correcting the appearance of your teeth to a high aesthetic standard, repairing damage and closing gaps.

We work with modern, tooth-coloured materials, tissue- and substance-preserving procedures and innovative methods. All-ceramic, metal-free materials and individual determination of tooth shade and shape let treated teeth look like natural ones.

At our practice, preserving tooth substance plays a decisive role. Wherever possible, aesthetic corrections should be carried out without preparation and without the loss of natural tooth substance.

The most important points at a glance

  • Aesthetic dentistry combines function and appearance – the aim is a result that does not stand out as a dental restoration.
  • Available options include all-ceramics, veneers, inlays, crowns and bridges as well as tooth whitening.
  • Metal-free ceramics are kind to the tissue and transmit light in a similar way to natural enamel.
  • Before treatment we discuss your expectations, what is feasible and the costs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can people tell that a ceramic restoration is artificial?
Well-made all-ceramic work is practically indistinguishable from a natural tooth in everyday life. What matters is the shade selection, the layering in the laboratory and a shape that suits your face.
How long does a cosmetic restoration last?
That depends on the material, oral hygiene and the load it carries - for instance whether you grind your teeth at night. Regular check-ups and a splint in case of bruxism noticeably extend its service life.
Does health insurance cover cosmetic treatments?
Purely cosmetic treatments such as bleaching are private services. For crowns, bridges and fillings the German statutory health insurance pays a fixed subsidy towards the standard care; you cover the difference for a higher-grade solution yourself. You receive a treatment and cost plan in advance.
Does a nicer smile mean a lot of tooth substance has to be removed?
Not necessarily. Veneers and inlays are designed precisely to sacrifice as little healthy substance as possible. How much preparation is needed depends on the initial findings.
